The Supreme Court, Tariffs, Refunds, & What’s Ahead
The U.S. Supreme Court recently struck down tariffs imposed by the President under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The decision has raised a number of questions for businesses and the construction industry, particularly regarding how the ruling may affect previously imposed tariffs and the potential for refunds.
To help provide clarity, the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has prepared an analysis of the decision and its potential implications. This information is available through AGC’s Tariff Resource Center.
The GCA of Hawaii will continue to monitor this issue closely and share updates as new information becomes available.
