Interested in learning the “secret sauce” of a successful contractor? Then please join us for a lively discussion with Lyle Moody, a fourth-generation contractor who successfully pivoted his family business, Walker-Moody Construction, to the top SealMaster contractor and product distributor in the nation.
A past president of the GCA, Lyle will share his thoughts on leadership in Hawaii’s construction industry.
Lyle Moody is the third generation of Moody’s to run his family’s contracting business, Walker-Moody Construction, which has built many of the iconic buildings and structures in Hawaii.
Lyle was promoted to president of Walker-Moody Construction in 1996 upon the retirement of his father. Under his leadership, Walker-Moody received several awards including the “Administrators Award of Excellence” for the Pacific Rim from the U.S. Small Business Administration, a “Certificate of Commendation” for work at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, and a “Certificate of Appreciation” and “Certificate of Commendation” from the U.S. Navy.
After becoming interested in asphalt maintenance products, Lyle started SealMaster Hawaii. He was committed to providing asphalt and sport court maintenance and products made in Hawaii, for Hawaii. The Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry awarded Lyle the “Outstanding Dedication Award” in 2007 for his efforts in paving preservation in Hawaii. SealMaster Hawaii was named “Franchise of the Year” for outstanding performance in 2009.
